Radiator cover construction in the Edinburgh workshop

Commonly asked

Will the cover affect my heating?

Designed correctly, barely at all. We size grille openings and leave airflow space so the radiator still heats the room efficiently.

What finishes can I have?

Most commonly: primed (ready for your painter), painted in our workshop, or left in natural timber. We can match colour references from Farrow & Ball, Dulux or a bespoke RAL.

How long does it take?

From first measure to fitting is usually two to four weeks, depending on workshop load and finish.

Do you cover modern / column radiators?

Yes — modern flat-panel, traditional column, towel rails. The design of the cover changes, the principles don't.

Do you do kids' rooms?

Yes — see the Kids' Rooms page. A cover prevents burns and adds character.
